I downloaded it from Aurora Store. I know I can download it from Github through Obtainium but I always run into problems if I use that method. Is FFF private like DDG?

FFF is basically just a dedicated incognito FF with privacy settings maxed out: no history, no persistent cache, tracking settings set to max, no persisent cookies etc. I am not sure what you're asking about related to DDG, that's a search engine.

Duckduckgo offers a dedicated browser which is likely what OP is referring to.
