I am curious if there is a good solution for getting notified about concerts. I'm imagining software that scans your music collection (mp3s, Spotify, YouTube music, etc) and then sends a notification when one of your artists is playing nearby.

I use BandsInTown which scans my LastFM profile. It can scan local storage (on my phone at least), Facebook, Twitter, last.fm, and Spotify.

Edit: oops, not self hosted.

Like Songkick? Haven't heard of any self hosted thing like it

Songkick? I've been using it for a few years and it works reasonably well. I believe you can connect it to Spotify too. The only negative is it's usually 3-5 days behind the announcement of shows. Following the artist directly is still the best bet to guarantee you hear it straight away. But that's only a problem if the show/artist is super popular and sells out fast.
