Damn, I want to live in your universe
Yeah, I was questioning everything I knew for a second
Obviously 28-3 sucked as a whole but Julio's catch (and Matt's throw) fading into relative obscurity is tough. The Edelman catch was crazy and was obviously pivotal, but Julio's catch is one of the more skillful I've ever seen.
That was an insane catch.
I could not believe my eyes after that Julio catch, legit thought I was watching us lose another SB on a once in a lifetime circus catch
And then we had our own
As a Biased Steelers fan: Santonio Holmes in the corner of the endzone
As a football fan in general: Edelman against the Falcons.
I'll say it before other Eagles fans do: ^Nick ^Foles ^Philly ^Special
I'm kidding. It's special for other reasons but it shouldn't be on this list.
I kind of disagree. While not an amazing catch, it is certainly iconic. But I only kind of disagree.
These catches were all insane, those guys must have won their respective Superbowls, no way they would have lost theirs especially if they had a lead of more than two scores

Matt Patricia**
Not having Manningham on here is a travesty.
I’d argue that was better than the helmet scratch. Plus it was a beautiful throw by the legend Eli.
A fucking perfect throw
The Lynn Swann catch belongs in the top 5, simply because he never would’ve even gotten into the HoF if the NFL hadn’t spammed the slow mo replay of it in literally every single NFL Films production of the last 40 years lol. He never had a 1000 yard season, only 336 catches in the regular season.
This is just stupid and its revisionist.
Lynn Swann made a 1st Team All Decade. 3 Pro Bowls. a SB MVP. and has 3 All Pros in 9 seasons.
He was top 10 in receiving yards per game 3 times. He was top 10 in receiving TDs 3 times (led the NFL in TD catches, finished 2nd another time), He also led the NFL in punt return yards.
Hes played in 16 playoff games and has 900 yards and 9 TD on 18.9 yards per catch.
Dude had 4 catches for 161 yds and a TD in a SB. He had 7 catches for 124 yards and a TD in another SB. And he had 5 catches for 79 yards and a TD in another Super Bowl.
People need to stop comparing eras like this dude didnt do shit. People also need to stop acting like what you do in the playoffs vs regular season doesnt matter. This guys one of the best playoff performers of all time, so is Bradshaw, and THAT is why they are in the HOF.
it was the fucking 70s. 1973 had 1 person with 1000 yards. 1974 had 2 people with 1000 yards. 1975 had 1 person with 1000 yards.
Its like people cant understand common sense shit when it comes to players of this era.
sorry, dude, but a lot of these stats are super mid.
playoff stats are cool, but finishing top 10 (against your peers, not all time) in receiving yards per game and TDs three times in a career is a Pro Bowler’s resume, not a HOFer’s.
especially when you consider there were only 26 teams in the league at the time. so basically he was a top-50% WR1 for a few seasons. by that logic, a guy like tyler lockett is a first ballot HOFer
David Tyree has to be the most iconic SB catch of all time. As far as most impressive, Santonio Holmes is #1 and it's not even close IMO. Absolutely perfect placement to protect the ball and as perfect a toe-tap TD will ever get on that catch. Just a perfect play all around even when you forget about the context.
Mario Manningham
Honestly these are good (outside of the silly editorial mistakes), but no Lynn Swann?
Recency bias anyone?
Julio Jones 😔
All I can think about is how if the Mahomes parallel-to-the-ground throw against the Bucs was actually caught instead of hitting a dumb mother fucker in the facemask, it'd be #1 on the list.
Moose 85 yarder obviously.
Fuck Kevin dyson.
