They never called this last year and it was working fine idk why they decided to make this a point of emphasis
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
First clapping his hands, now he’s dunking!!
I’m glad the refs put a stop to this. Ruins the game
The NBA wants people to fly off the rim and turn their arm into jello like Andrew Bogut. FOH
A lot of new basketball fans who don't know that doing a pull up on the rim has been an automatic tech for a while now
Dumbest rule in the NBA. Not called when it needs to be. Call when it doesn’t.
baby food soft. this shit is hilarious now.
He had Banchero under him, thats why he hung on longer and tried to avoid landing on someone. Does the NBA care more about player safety or trying to be strict against anything that appears as showboating?
Dumbest technical out there that needs to be gotten rid of. All hanging on a rim is going to do for a player is make them slow getting back on defense and cause a power play of sorts for the other team. Not hanging on the rim can cause all sorts of injuries. Just unbelievably dumb this is a technical in the rule book at all.
Ref fans painting their screens white this season.
Why did they make Shaq-proof rings if 220 pound guys can't hang from them? Let them swing on them all they want! The only negative would be not getting back on defense, which would be their fault.
The line for this game had me knowing it was going to be a ref showcase
The guy calling for a tech on the bench is a snitch.
I want to see opponents half-ass the tech freethrow in protest. Embarrass the refs.
Do the refs not understand that when your body is horizontal with the fucking floor you can’t let go of the rim???? This was never a thing before, I just don’t understand why it is now. This NBA season would be perfect so far if it wasn’t for these sensitive god awful refs.
I thought they stopped calling this for the last couple years
Yea how can we make the game more boring …
Great pass by the big fella
So players are not allowed to land safely? Wtf is this rule lol, its not like dude is hanging and taunting
What exactly is the point of this? How does calling this a tech help the game at all. I've seen this called multiple times this season
Lmao that is so fuckin stupid. NBA is soft
JT be getting techs for the dumbest shit LMAOO
Chicken shit ref.
No Fun League
The refs on their bullshit again. It’s getting beyond ridiculous this year.
Is the NBA trying to make a statement about this? This also happened recently to Jaxson Hayes, and Sengun last night along with this. That’s got to be more than all of last season, no?
It’s just so ridiculous. All three seemed just like guys trying to keep from falling and right themselves.
The issue is he pulled himself up instead of just hanging
Refs are wild this season.
Part of what makes basketball is the emotion and the NBA keeps trying to neuter it. I guess they had to do something after artest but weve gone told around the other way.
Hanging on the rim like that is poor athleticism. It shows bad decision-making skills resulting in a loss of balance and composure while performing a simple unobstructed shot. It's an amateur move in a professional sport and should carry substantial penalties.
Except he wasn’t hanging. He was preventing self injuries.
