lol, I typo'd the date I read... It's got the BIOS date listed as 2012-09-11.
ThoughtPads can't melt steel beams.
I completely overlooked it, I saw the key board and was like wtf did they do.. and immediately skipped to the SN to search the warranty status. (Manufacturers usually list the purchase date on their warranty pages)
Had there been more "wear" on the keys that were still there I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but the keys that are there look new.
Is that the G spot?

Swap the keyboard for the old school ThinkPad keyboard from the x220. That thing is goat (you'll want to either replace the palm rest or file the knobbins on the keyboard a bit)
Pretty sure my T410 is older than that. It's still my daily use primary PC. It's good enough, but Win 10 has slowed it down some.
