Sad how it ended for him at SU. Everyone gave up on him even though our O-Line let him get sacked what felt 4 times a fuckin play. Most sacked QB in the nation for a big stretch. He got murdered constantly.
I'm happy he did well at Illinois and made it to the NFL. I was sad to see him go. When he had time to throw, he had the makings of a good pro. One of the better deep balls SU has had in the past 4 decades. We just couldn't keep him safe.
Side note: His parents are cool. His mother is a total sweetheart. Tailgated with her a few times before SU games. Super nice lady.
