They gambled on that but he was already injury prone on the Pelicans and had major injuries. Not exactly smart by the Lakers to think he'd be carrying them/face of the franchise long term. Plus he's been in the league since 19. They will have to rebuild in a couple years.

I'm shocked at how many times I see NBA players not just go up and dunk it instead of trying to lay it in. Saw Kawhi do that a week ago too with an easy put back, tries to dunk with one hand instead of just using both.
2023-2024 All-Free Throw Merchant Team by current NBA FTA stats:
- Embiid
- Giannis
- Trae
- Lillard
- KD
He had Banchero under him, thats why he hung on longer and tried to avoid landing on someone. Does the NBA care more about player safety or trying to be strict against anything that appears as showboating?
Not sure why you got downvoted
Lopez been balling lately.
Impressive. But no one should be surprised he bullied Harden lol. Kawhi was the strongest clipper on the floor there and would probably also get bodied.
Casuals don't know
True, it was a team failure
What if KD had Giannis' physicality in the paint? Unstoppable combo either way you flip it.
Tbh should have been. Can't allow a 3 to send it to OT with 1.5 seconds left lol. You deserve to lose at that point.
All that to try to get a 2 for 1. Whats the stat on that anyway? I feel like teams mess up these situations 75% of the time where they could have just taken their time for a good possession.
