We don't get glasses in the US, we get barely laminated paper cups, or plastic cups in the rare occasion the restaurant doesn't have a disposable plastic mandate. The mouths of said cups are far too wide to reasonably drink out of without straws, and without the lid the cups are far too structurally unstable to drink out of without at least some spillage or awkward handling.
They're designed for straw based drinking, and changing that would require an entirely different vessel.
Because the latter isn't going to happen until someone does a lot of [REDACTED], and paper straws are fucking awful so while the world burns and the turtles are boiled alive, many may want to drink from a disposable straw that doesn't melt in your mouth.
And they were fine without Israel, living in peace along side their relatives that now identify as Arab or Palestinian or just not Jewish. Then white settlers came in and settled the land.

The main countries that eat beef are the ones with a history of killing people for far less than trying to take away their beef.
Because they know, even subconsciously, that that systemic failure is responsible for them being as successful as they are.
They also are scared, usually subconsciously, of that happening to them if they stop wageslaving for even a second.
Doesn't excuse their actions, but they have logical, selfish, reasons for their thought process.
Music licensing is a nightmare. Music licensing across international borders is a ridiculous surrealist nightmare from which you can never wake; if you should ever want to enter into such endeavors find the nearest cliff and try to fly as that will be a less painful adventure more likely to find success.
Except it's currently working in practice in many countries, one of which is more successful by every measure than the US. Also Marxist-leninism is responsible for being more people out of poverty than any other system of socioeconomics.

So this Mayor is going to fund a violent assault on police using embedded CIA agents that will get swiftly put down by a militarized police force and then the local populace will try to stop the militarized police from leaving as they fear the violent gangs returning?
