I'm just trying to see if there's a pattern or just some selection bias going on. From my view, Pete gets undervalued players to overperform and takes high value players who end up underperforming.

EDIT: To clarify- I meant that we signed or traded for and "paid" high value (lots of cash, traded players who ended up being stars, or high picks).

I have been a fan of the NFL for over 20 years now, and it’s always been my favorite sport to watch. I’m not even sure if this is allowed to be posted on this sub or not so screw it lol. With the increase in gambling ads throughout professional sports I have seen an absolute uptick in penalties within sporting events that have meaningful impacts upon games. Within the last 2-3 years in the nfl, mirrored with the increase in gambling sponsorship within the game, I have noticed nfl refs having more impact and having more screen time than ever before. The NFL is an entertainment industry after all, so they can be fairly bias without much repercussions in the first place, but with how advanced technology is nowadays, there’s no excuse for stupid missed calls actually affecting the outcome of a professional sporting event when we have 70 live active cameras pointed out Taylor Swift and the Kelce family. I have seen refs throw late flags across the field when they’re the furthest member of the crew from the issue at hand, and I have heard the announcers befuddled on more than 25 occasions across games from dozens of teams We have lost a lot games we could have won this year by our own doing, but I’ve seen so many blatantly obvious calls this year get called against us that I’m starting to lose trust in the system entirely. I’ve had so many different people echo this opinion after watching their own team play this year. I’m hoping this is just a crazy year where we are disproportionately affected, but damn it feels like high school refereeing sometimes.

Just a thought here...

QB, if one of the top guys falls to us, or if a QB the FO is high on drops, or defensive line. Watching the Cowboys and 49ers, you realize a top defensive linemen helps the entire line so much. We need that, so badly.

`* in 1st or 2nd rounds

jsn and charbs are good and all but it doesn't make a diff if we get no pressure and can't pass block

I firmly believe this teams issues boils down to coaching. We are extremely soft on defense, yet loaded with talent. On offense we are loaded with even more talent and Geno is definitely a capable quarterback. However, we are extremely predictable. With Pete rising in age, do we finally part ways this off-season, and if we do, do we make a run for Ben Johnson? Before this gets taken and ran with it that I’m anti Pete or we just came off a bad loss, Pete won’t be here forever, and many teams have been struggling at the head coach position. Maybe taking a shot at a hot young option isn’t the worst idea. I love Pete and am very thankful for what he’s done for this team, but 72 is 72, and we have gone soft these past few seasons.

If you keep reading in this thread, Nate points out the 2021 Jags had pretty similar problems with their receivers on offense and guess who was the WR coach at the time... Sanjay Lal

Spoon being used by the team Twitter for the MNF flex graphic got me thinking…do we have any real blue chip talents on this roster? We have a lot of really good players no doubt. But who are the franchise corner stones, the real X-factor guys on our team?

Spoon is trending that way. Riq shows he could be a blue chip corner at times but the consistency isn’t always there. Together they can be one of the best corner duos though so there is hope as they develop.

Adams post injury is still very good but I don’t think he is an elite safety anymore.

DK and Lockett are very good and have unique skill sets that compliment each other very well but not in the top tier of receivers. The hope was with JSN that the unit as a whole became an X-factor but that hasn’t proven out (yet).

Bobby was a blue chipper at MLB but is way past his prime.

KW3 is again a very good back but doesn’t have the passing game versatility to be in the top tier of backs.

I’m not an O-Line expert so someone more knowledgeable than me please tell me where Cross ranks in blue chip tackle potential

I feel like this team is lacking those true difference makers that we know week in and week out will win their matchup no matter who we are playing. It’s what is keeping us from leaping from a wild card team to a true contender

With Kenneth out still, I really feel like Deejay can improve on last week and have a great game tonight!

Are the Seahawks only wearing their throwbacks twice this season?

If so, why on the road? And not give your fans another chance to see them?

Also, much respect to you guys, was an opposing fan in Lumen Field a few weeks ago and really gained respect for your fanbase, no negativity my way! Shoutout

Assuming the bears draft a quarterback, the Seahawks should aggressively pursue Justin Fields next off season.

Good guy Shane & Geno trying to hook us up

Seeing how Geno freezes up when the pass rush comes and eats sacks, I’ve never missed Russell more in my life. I know it’s become popular to hate him but man he was a playmaker during his heyday with us.

Hard to not look at Carolina with Frank Reich firing this week and not look inward.

Rumored was the lack of RPO’s with Young, what stagnated their offense. It makes sense to utilize BY’s young legs to help keep defenses honest (basically what he succeeded in Alabama all those years).

But back to our situation, makes you think with how RW’s RPO’s with Lynch, Carson in year’s pasts that those defenses had to account for our QB’s running. We don’t see that with Geno so there’s no threat.

Is the lack of RPO’s in our offense the key to our lack of sustained drives??
