Utter tragedy. The worst part about this "discovery" is that we knew it was coming; I've been reading scientists' warnings about how changing ocean temperatures would cause food chain collapses for decades. More to come...
Subplot of "Soylent Green". I used to think it was the main plot, but then learned the problem wasn't Soylent Green or its makeup, but the indifference of the people throughout the movie when they learned things were not as they appeared. Old movie, still applicable.
As a world, we over fish as well. Even if things were not warming we are still screwed because we destroy the oceans.
We really need to stop destroying where we live.
That's everywhere on earth, people carry on about demographic replacement but we should be encouraging smaller populations. Human beings are just so egocentric that the thought of not reproducing is too crazy to entertain.
Not particularly. People who see that their kids are likely to live to adulthood and that they don't need a large family to live well tend to have only 1-2 kids. You see that in Japan, the US and western Europe
