4 important things to figure out first:

How small is your budget? $100 and $5000 can both net you dramatically different opportunities.
Sounds like you are short on time/bandwidth, how much time do have to dedicate to this side hustle?
How much income do you need to generate from this side hustle?
What kind of work do you like / are you good at?

Once you have these answered, you'll get much better feedback and ideas.

happy to allocate $5000 to begin with
happy to spend most or all my time at the weekends and partially during weekdays ( 1- 2 hrs during weekdays)
well, it can start from small. but, I'd like to see some promising signs that It will grow over time. Or if I can steadily generate $1000-$2000 a month . Id be okay with this too. Everything starts from small, then grows, I guess.
I like scientific writing, writing and reading technological and scientific advancements, writing and reading on cooking.
