Hello, Im new to the watch world and have been looking for a nice beginner priced watch to spend some money on. I recently found this watch from Gucci on Velstiaire but when I did some research I couldnt find any other place that sells this model. Additionally Velstiaire doesnt mention the model name. Im wondering if anyone has any information about it as it looks like a beautiful watch Id love to add to my collection! Thanks!

Don't buy a Gucci watch, they're (mostly) poor quality and really overpriced, this in general goes for most fashion brands. Can get a good similar looking watch from actual watch brands for the same price.

Gucci is NOT a watchmaker. Some luxury brands do have manufacturing facilities (Vuitton, Dior, others can be found with a bit of research) but to enter the watch realm, maybe some other brands like Hamilton, Seiko, or Bulova would be a better idea. I you want to get noticed, seek for some vintage heritage model that will be a great conversation starter.

As opposed to the ~~circlejerk~~ canon of "acceptable brands" that this subreddit has developed, Gucci has a small cult following of watch collectors and have over the years released some very interesting stuff that is pretty high quality.

This specific watch is a 4200m from the 90s that uses a quartz ETA 980.003 movement iirc. It's a cool looking watch imo that I don't think there are many fakes of, but this is a pretty steep price for one specially in this condition.
