Exchange rates mean if it’s not a sellout every single night them it’s not worth it. A team like New Orleans can have a 30% reduction in attendance and still make as much money as Vancouver. That’s tough.

I can’t stand him but I did not see a Laker ass-whooping in my NBA tarot cards yesterday.
I think the tournament is also stupid if it doesn’t provide a basic incentive relative to the playoffs. Asking the players to “get up” for the early season when their primary focus is on developing chemistry and working out the kinks in the offense and defensive schemes is dumb.
Now gifting the bracket winners with an at-minimum playoff spot and the overall winner a guaranteed sixth or better spot? That would be worth the extra effort in preseason.
Don’t expect January and February to not suck butts with load management though.
I think both Kyle Anderson and Tyrese Halliburton have awkward games but are tremendously impactful
