I think they are talking about this: https://www.covid-19-sounds.org/en/

Back in 2022 there was a news article circulating around the research based on this app, Other than that news blitz I can't find anything substantial using regular web searches.

Keywords: Wafaa Aljbawi COVID Sounds Phone App

I couldn't download it using Google Play - it says it is designed for an old phone, but Aurora App Store allowed it to be downloaded. Not sure if it's trustworthy, as after it's initial news blitz, completely silent.

Reviews are old, it seems that this might have been an active thing back in 2020 or 2022, but at this point, I'm guessing it's unmaintained on the Univesity side.

Never written about games, but when I do have notes I want to remember, in the past few years I've been using Logseq to jot down something on the day's journal, and tag it with a topic.

Because it's search capabilities, I find I actually go back to my musings when I need them.

I remember playing it on a PS4 - not sure if it was part of the PS+ or one I bought on a sale. My son was a teenager at the time, and he liked mostly sports games, and that's what the PS4 was for - FIFA and NBA2K. But from time to time I would sample some games to my liking, this one was one of those I actually completed.

Loved the aesthetics and the mechanics of the game play, the story ending was probably its weakest point, but the game itself was great.

Thanks for sharing, might need to boot that old PS4 again.
