I don't mind paying more, but experiencing the Sony connection issues have given me cold feet. So if you Google "earbuds issue" are there any in the top 5 that are a safe bet?

Bose, Sennheiser?

I've had Samsung pro earbuds for 3 years now without any issues, I have dropped them, used them in the rain, and no issues whatsoever.

I have the buds 2 pro, I have treated them very rough and they still work great. My only complaint is comfort but it may be only me.

Buds Pros can definitely be uncomfortable. I ended up replacing mine with Senns because I got sick of my ears hurting after a short time. The senns are much more comfortable.

Likewise, and they sound solid for a TWS, i haven't felt the need to upgrade to the Buds 2 Pros.
