They aren't. High school aged kids are being twatty edge lords as always but statistically the younger generations lean left.
I don't know man. There's a lot of 7-12 grade kids that are far right. Or part of that toxic manosphere
Yeah they also can't vote yet and by voting age the statistics are and have been for like a hundred or so years shifted left towards 60 and back right after that.
But there's a lot of sympathy in college campus for things like turning point. Pre 2014 those people would have been ran off campus and sometimes were. Now you don't see that
Yep. Gen X here. Things like the Young Republicans were treated like lepers pretty much.
Running them off campus is how we got here.
No, running them off campus and leaving their bones intact is how you got here.
Don't care. They should always be afraid
That may well be true but let them speak.
No. And you should learn about the paradox of tolerance
Amusing. Please oh enlightened one: How exactly am I being tolerant of intolerance?
I'll wait.
Because to the naïve, far-right nonsense feels edgy.
And I don't get that. To me being against wealth, nuclear family, religion is the non conformist route
I suspect there has to be a lot of indoctrination involved. Note how these edgelords are also deeply religious, or at least claim to be (not getting into how they do or don't actually follow the tenets of their religion).
Musk (edgelord extraordinaire) said publically in a recent post that he just couldn't bring himself to attack cops in a video game. I guess violent video games are a problem again. It's all the same tired conservative nonsense but it's been sold to a generation that doesn't have the backstory.
And it's so weird. When I was a teenager it was the democrats who led the fight against violent video games like mortal Kombat and GTA. Hated them for that
