I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "this" -- the meme? my comment? the situation -- but they are all both very real and also probably from a cartoon or something.

I don't know how this is the thing that makes you realize that. The fact that people believed and in some cases still do believe that there are lizard men who drink the blood of babies for adrenochrome which somehow allows them to live forever, and that these men run the democratic party is much more weird and mystifying to me.
