[Simon Smith] Jaime Jaquez Jr. is allowing 0.31 PPP when defending in isolation, per @nbastats . This ranks No. 1 in the league.

Jaime Jaquez Jr AKA Juan Wick is doing great , already cracked the rotation, now he is in the closing lineup , playing all 12 min 4th quarters in the last 5 games.

So far this is his numbers are:

9.2/3.4/2.3

Ok but who is he guarding lmao.

I feel like that's a big piece of context that's missing, since he's not a starter he isn't out there locking up no. 1 option. I bet Steph has a decent PPP (heh) since they run a whole scheme to hide him on defense.

Like what is even the top 10 list is there any decent defenders on there? I have my doubts.

Jaquez has already been challenged by the Heat’s coaching staff to defend some of the league’s top scorers during the first few weeks of his first NBA regular season. Along with DeRozan, Jaquez has also spent extended time guarding other stars like Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
