MODERATORS

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are probably two of the most courageous and talented satirist the world truly needs right now.

Props to them for being one of the only people who views Woke as something else other than just the cringe way of saying "Political Correctness"

Truly admirable and sagacious comedy CHADS!!!!!!!!

These dudes are great. I love to see this stuff.

Ehh, they are funny but they have had some Ls in the past. Two episodes come to mind: Both parties are the same Comparing being trans to identifying as a dolphin.

They've absolutely been on the wrong side before, but they've also acknowledged past mistakes. Climate change is a big example.

We're all wrong about stuff - and that's okay. It's what we do after we learn we're wrong that matters.

I grew up in a time and place that had me believing homosexuality was immoral and that white men were being discriminated against by affirmative action. What I believed was wrong, and is not representative of who I am now. But I didn't have social media or a television network keeping a record of every time I said something awful.

It's all satire, there is no wrong side.

Bro they've done 340ish episodes, they're going to miss from time to time. 99.5% is pretty damn good.

If you are comparing the establishment parties in America right now, it is pretty accurate that both parties are the same. They are both beholden to the private Epstein's class and the corporate lobbying interests that they are bribed with. Not to mention that they are consistently on the wrong side by supporting Israel without a fault and even actively trying to jeopardize the chances of up and coming anti establishment progressive candidates.

In regards to the dolphin episode, I know the one you are referring to and from my memory it had 0 reference to trans people. It was just about Kyle wanting to play in the NBA and his dad admitting he always wanted to be a dolphin. If you are reading that as a correlation with trans people, that's on you.

[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 4 points 2 days ago

Somehow my addled brain remembers that there was a sex change in the episode and Kyle's dad made a fuss about the bathrooms not being accommodating to him: "South Park" Mr. Garrison's Fancy New Vagina (TV Episode 2005) - IMDb https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0705943/

At least the first one is actually true...

I mean, both parties (and any party in any place of the world) is the same: a bunch of mythomaniacs, sociopaths, psychopaths, narcissists, kleptomaniacs, pedophiles and murderers who don't care about the citizens, the people, but only their own pockets and their shitty hedonisms.

“Skewers”? C’mon, trump probably likes that they did this. Like if you asked him he would probably pick the name himself.

[–] Snowies@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

The clickbait language is giving us all dementia later in life I just know it.

As one example, go to YouTube and search “Meidas Touch All Hell Breaks Loose”. It’s fucking depressing.

Trump does not have a sense of humor.

Sure he does, his sense of humor just isn't funny to anybody else that isn't also a psychopath. I should really say used too. His brain is mush these days.

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 5 points 3 days ago (5 children)

Conservatives famously don't have a sense of humour, unless you count laughing at people getting hurt.

A MAGAs sense of humor is based on making fun of those different from what people “should” be, based on their narrow and inflexible worldview. In other words, punching down on others.

[–] tacoplease@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago (1 children)

After the episodes with Trump's mushroom pee pee talking and sex scenes with Satan, if Trump likes anything South Park, he's gotta be demented.

[–] Asfalttikyntaja@sopuli.xyz 8 points 3 days ago

if Trump likes anything South Park, he's gotta be demented.

Well…

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The first set of the new episodes skewering the prez, his press secretary wrote something along the lines of, 'southpark hasn't been relevant in forever.'

After they dropped an episode or two, they replied, 'who is relevant now bitch? #eatabagofdicks

[–] LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago

Oh I’m sure they make fun of him and others aplenty too in the episodes, but to claim they skewered him by changing the name, I disagree.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

This is really grasping at straws to be that comment.
