From my understanding, statcounter gets this data from web analytics. Does this mean the data is more or less legit? I don't know if Steam Deck users browse internet much, though I doubt this device's market share is large enough to affect the statistics.

You need to compare with the same period last year.
I love good stories. For me, the atmosphere and plot are vital. It feels like after work I just don't have enough time and mental capacity to put a lot of effort in a video game, therefore I avoid things like Minecraft or the whole survival genre, even though I used to enjoy that kind of stuff when I was a teenager.
Why are they so desperate to be liked by users?
I think either games with Denuvo sell worse, or it's just the bad image that affects their ability to sell Denuvo to more publishers and developers.
