I always struggled with the corner shots because I have less of a spacial reference with the side of the backboard facing me. Shooting from the top of the key should be much easier, no? I always had the most success with the 45 degree angle one, right between the key and the corner. Maybe that's just me though.

Lotta people in here not reading the post. The three point line is different in the NBA than in college, and most courts you’ll find have the college line. The NBA line is further back, but since it wouldn’t have room along the sidelines, it stops being a circle near the sideline and goes straight towards the baseline. So the answer is that it’s shorter, but that doesn’t apply to you shooting hoops.
