I just bought a pair of HD600s and am currently just laying them on my desk. I'd like to get a stand but I understand that some stands can wear down the pads faster.

As a result, I was wondering if a banana stand would be one of the safer stands in that the small piece of the banana stand that protrudes would go on the HD600 where the two head pads meet (there's a space there) and thus no deformation should occur.

What do you think r/headphones?

There’s always money in the banana stand

My go to reccomendation. Cheap and does the job, also pads dont get squished. Bought my second one today.

Interesting design, but isn't there some contact between the stand and the padding on the inside of the headband and thus some deformation over time?

Yes but its in the center of the headband, it wont really matter

I use a hand carved wooden dolphin from the Bahamas as my headphone stand and it's been the best stand ever lol probably get the banana stand if I didn't tho.
