Are the is one better than HD600?

[–] psy-skeletor@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I tested 560s, 660s2 : both are a sit back experience. 560s a little dark and 660s2 more bright with a lack of bass. I am now in the grado sr325x. I tested also the rs2x and it is like the grado with the big bowls, but sit back or silk sound. Thing is I like grado sr325x because you can tune the sound with the foams and is more a “you are with the band” experiencie.

Asking for the 600 is mainly because I looking for a silk sound but 660s2 at 550€ is too much. 300€ maybe is worthy

They have been this price on and off for a while apparently and were paired recently.

I have an Audio Technica R70x - is it worth buying this or is HD6XX very similar to the R70x ?

The HD58X is also on sale for $139, down from $199.

I got them at that price in 2018. It’s crazy that they can still be had for that same price in 2023 after all the inflation and supply chain issues that have plagued the economy since then. It’s a crazy bargain, legitimately endgame audio quality and unlike the 6XX, it can be ran properly off of the apple dongle dac!

I resold my used 58X for almost $100 recently, although I kinda miss it now.

Got the 6XX last week as my first set of nicer quality non-bluetooth headphones... How would you compare the HD58X to the 6xx?

Does it make sense to get these if I already have HD660s?

Anyone tried ordering these from DROP then ship em to Japan?

Worth it for someone that has a Edition XS? Been curious about the "Sennheiser sound" for a while now.

What is the difference between these and HD600?

[–] Louissiuol79@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

One of the values of any headphone.

I wouldn’t spend that much on headphones with such flimsy build quality, even if they do sound nice

How does the 6xx and 560's compare to the momentum 4's in sound quality alone? I tried the 560 and M4 at a store but they only had a sample test track, so it was very limiting. But I could hear enough to get disappointed by the M4 sound quality and the 560's felt better! Was it because of the sample track or are they just like that?

[–] TheProfPhoton@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Potentially. Each pair will have their strengths, and it's possible that track was more suited to the HD560s'

However, keep in mind the M4 is closed back, and the difference you heard could genuinely be the difference in sound quality between the two.

What track was it? if you don't mind me asking.

It was just a demo of jazz style, pop and rock that I didn't specifically recognize but all the Headphones were wired, which I heard that doesn't work as well as the BT for the M4. I noticed the HD560 slightly better and natural than the M4's but none were particularly impressive compared to my regular under a 100€ earbuds so I wonder if it was really an issue of an underwhelming audio source ...
