Scuse me while I swipe down to refresh for a bit waiting on rswany

West: Luka, Steph, SGA, Ant

East: Hali, Maxey, LaMelo...then Dame? The last East spot is tough - I could see Mitchell, Trae, or even Brunson there too.

I'm actually more shocked there have been only 9 fines so far, and all for guards.

This year I'm thankful for u/rswany

I mean OT in the last two games too, so...not at all likely/sustainable.

Maybe they should trade the Knicks to KAT

Chris Paul with a classic dirty play going after Mike Conley's knees on a loose ball for absolutely no reason, and still somehow draws foul...

I usually resist this kind of conclusion but man this thread is the absolute worst (best?) example of this (as in, your comment is absolutely accurate). The downvotes for obviously accurate information that just happens to be about a player they don't like for other reasons is nutso.

Cry bout it.

The irony of "cry about it" when you're literally saying "we won't talk to you /will downvotes you about this interesting wrinkle in the rules that may have been misapplied because I don't like that guy and he makes me so mad!"

So I guess it's indeed impossible to have a normal discussion about rules if it involves Draymond, lol.

This is abundantly clear - I don't like Draymond (or the Warriors lol but good luck tonight) but I like rules discussions / referee accountability. The downvotes you're getting on here make it pretty clear everybody would rather just shit on Draymond / say "he deserves it no matter what!" than actually have a discussion about the rules.

Both were during live ball, which makes it wild they got Draymond for a tech and not a flagrant

[–] smkmn13@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Does a tight reading of this rule mean, if the ball is in play, you can only get a tech for taking a swing at someone if you *don't" connect? Landing a punch makes it a flagrant?

I continue to be flabbergasted by the culture of NBA / refereeing / ejections in comparison to the NFL. I get that fans are closer so there's more desire to keep player conduct in check, but the number of ejections in NBA games for non-basketball actions vs. NFL (where it almost NEVER happens except for throwing a punch) is absolutely nuts.
