I have no problem connecting my SN30 Pro+ to my 8bit adapter, but nothing recognizes it. Blue-man sees it as a Bluetooth adapter, but Steam Gamepad Tester or Heroic simply don't recognize it.

I can use my built-in Bluetooth to connect my controller to my PC, but the buttons are all out of order - RB and LB are bound to Start and Select, LT doesn't work, etc. I've tried using jstest to calibrate it, but it doesn't work. Steam calibration tool and the test show everything is working properly, but every other tester says otherwise (https://gamepadtest.com/, https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad, jstest-gtk, etc.), which is why I decided to buy the USB adapter thinking it would give me no problems.

Things I've tried:

jstest-gtk

evtest

xone, xow, xpad-drv

Update both firmware to the newest version.

Any insight will be appreciated. i'm using endeavouros i3wm edition

Have you made sure it's in x-input mode?

it works in switch mode which i think it's y+start but the a/b x/y are reversed and i have a hard time getting used to. i've lost save data among other things that way i'm using it out of necessity but i really prefer to get the x-input mode working which is the one giving the most problem

What does dmesg say when you start it in x-input mode?
