at 0:45 AD and Lebron both touch the ball after DMitch's first free throw.

Why? to throw him off or is it just superstition? or something else entirely?

In a recent episode of Iggy’s podcast, PJ Tucker explained that he touches the ball because he doesn’t get to take many shots during a game and he feels like he needs to touch the ball so he can stay in rhythm when he has an open look. I think a lot of players, especially role players who don’t handle the ball often, need to feel the ball so they’re not handling it “cold” when it does comes to them.

Kind of like how everyone who's ever played baseball is compelled to pick one up and grip it like they're throwing a 4 seamer anytime they see a baseball

I always held a baseball like a curve ball and would snap my fingers to have the ball jump up. Man I can't imagine what id do to my arm if I tried to throw a curve ball right now 😂
