Thibs too. Iirc Thibs talked about how he called off an engagement because his #1 focus is always gonna be basketball.

I'm gossiping like a school girl, but I think I read an article that he was engaged and missed like EVERY holiday because he was watching film and studying for the playoffs. My man, take some time off and enjoy your lady.

If basketball makes him happier than marriage, who are you to say he should take time off. He's doing what he loves, i.e. not his fiancee

I second this.. sometimes the people on this sub can be really corny with this.. life ain't a romcom!

I am sure his kids age 5, and 3 want to spend time with him. Money isn't everything and I could see resentment from a spouse when one "chooses" to stay away from family b/c of work, especially when a spouse can see others in the same industry that do

It's not about the money. It's about the obsession with your craft. Some people are just like that. They just want everything to do with what they're doing and make everything work the way it needs to. They want to perfect it and be as good as they can be.
