I know you might now look at the box score and go, oh Murray had 16 points and 6 assists on 4/14 shooting. That's not very good. But oh my god does he make the offense flow better, like it felt different 2 possessions into the game. the Jokic Murray 2 man game is so good at getting Jokic the ball in a position that is either a forced bucket, or forces the defense to collapse, leading to the Nuggets getting open shots. Also I think MPJ had like 3 wide open 3s in the second half that was just pure Murray making a great pass after drawing attention, and just missed them. Which was funny considering he was unconscious before that.
Anyway, if you didn't watch the game, your gonna have to just trust me, Jamal Murray was very impactful, and makes a huge difference in how the Nuggets play.
This is the first season I've been watching every one of the Nuggets' games, and you're not exaggerating; it was IMMEDIATELY noticeable how much better the Nuggets were playing compared to the non-Murray games. So glad he's back, and I was sweating bullets when he rolled his ankle in the first quarter
