Hey all, just wanted to bring this up as it should be released soonish - saw a video or two a while ago and was intrigued, was bummed to see it was invite only still.

Anyone played this yet? Thoughts? Other hype? I mean it’s the successor to gmod, I’m here for it and all its buggy glory 🤩🤩

Now they did mention retooling in September but I’m hopeful they’re comfortable and capable to still hit a Q1 or Q2 deadline. Who knows, what do you think?

I'm so excited for it, been following it ever since Garry Newman said he started working in source 2. It looks much more powerful than Gmod ever was. Too bad the way to get into the closed beta is a complete nightmare (you had to enter a raffle every day and have maybe a 1/700 chance of being selected)

I'll be the first to buy it as long as they don't mess up the monetization and turn it into something like Roblox. But I trust Newman, he hates that stuff as much as I do.

Shoutout to their dumb devlog videos too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2L6xF5POhNU

From what I'm understanding he's trying to make a platform that allows for stuff like Roblox to happen. Just that he's trying to make it robust from the start with proper, good tools in Source 2.
