Well, they said they would 'discuss' the crappy anticheat too, but so far nothing has been done about that either. I won't hold my breath.

I know little about it. What makes this stand out? I am guessing kernal level, but is there anything else to it?

Just search “Sony Rootkit” and it should be more clear why Sony issuing a new kernel level anticheat is not met with warm regards.

Those were the days. I never thought installing mp3 player software would give me a rootkit, but it did…..
