Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. They make a significant number of voters in critical swing states like Michigan. Biden won certain counties in the 2020 election by a handful of votes. This can make a significant amount of difference in the coming election.
I'm aware, but this particular poster constantly posts these articles with that specific title format to push a very specific reaction.
And gets downvoted by ridiculous measures, which I'm glad for.
And yet, I'm still here. Because I don't care about downvotes, friend. Seems like they are very important to you tho. Thanks!
Yes you're quite proud of being loathed
And I still don't care about them. I can note them or talk about them when making a point, but they don't hurt my feelings.
And they won't stop me from posting what I want, where I want, when I want. Thank you! :)
You talk about the downvotes a lot, though.
For the record, I'm actually helping Harris and the Democrats win. I've turned people to the Democratic party just by my comments and attitude: https://lemmy.world/comment/12698046
@SatansMaggotyCumFart says "I’ve been a stanch socialist for years, always voting for the SWPUSA but I can’t wait to vote for Harris this year."
"I’m a proud democrat now due to your conduct in these comments."
and
"You’re definitely doing a great job drumming up support for Harris!"
I didn't write the article, nor did I write the title. If you think the news org is being dishonest, please contact them directly.
And why did you neglect to mention that I’ve posted articles that are critical of Trump, Stein, and Harris, as well as articles praising each of them?
So, if you’re assuming I agree with every viewpoint in the articles I post, how does that even work when I share so many conflicting perspectives?!
I'm curious why you left that part out. Can you clarify why you would imply that I only post one type of article, when my post history clearly shows that's not true? https://lemmy.world/u/UniversalMonk?page=1&sort=New&view=Posts
Because I don't spend my time thinking about you and feeling I need to check in on what you're doing and posting.
Well you cared enough to mention "this particular poster constantly posts these articles with that specific title format to push a very specific reaction."
But when I point out to you that I post all types of articles with all types of titles, you suddenly don't spend your time thinking about me?!
So you spend enough time to give out inaccurate implications about me, but not enough to time to be correct. Ok...
Also, I'm still now sure what you mean by "specific title format" since I don't create the titles.
Par for the course
Of course you do. Lying and acting confused really wears thin. If you have the capacity to read and understand the articles you share, you have the capacity to read and understand the comic and the linked web page.
If you continue to profess that you don’t understand, I can only conclude that you can’t even read and understand the articles you’re sharing, and that you are somehow functionally illiterate. If that is the case, please let me know as I can send you some resources that can help.
But I don't understand what the comic has anything to do with this article or the conversations in the thread.
And if you conclude that I "can't even read and understand the articles," then I guess you were wrong implying that I have some agenda. I mean, if I can't even read and understand what I'm doing.
So please send those resources that can help. I KNEW we would end up being friends. Also, I have actually converted some people to the Democratic Party--so I'm actually helping your cause: https://lemmy.world/comment/12698046

Slow your roll there, bud! Not sure I’m equipped to deal with that level of irony. Hell, I think you just violated the Geneva Conventions.
Sealioning in a discussion of your penchant for that type of trolling behavior?! Thanks for being such a genuine example - maybe we should just link to your account off the wiki for anyone needing an example?
What kind of "trolling behavior" are you seeing? Since I'm not a troll, I don't understand what you mean. You're still gonna send me materials that help me, like you said, right?!
That’s explained by the link below the comic. I’m sure you can work it out.
Oh, and you have a history with BYU anyway, right? So maybe this will help https://education.byu.edu/reading-is-lit-resources
I still don't understand. But yes, I do have history with BYU. Thank you for the shoutout!
Okay, just so we’re clear, a page with less than a thousand words and requiring at best a high school reading level is beyond you?
I mean you regularly copy and paste walls of text almost as long as that in comments, but you can’t manage to derive the meaning out of a simple web page?
Did you have some sort of head injury or stroke?!
Well, I'm not sure. Why don't we REALLY clear things up, and you tell me what you think is going on here?
You’re shitposting.
Hey genius, I already did. I even provided visuals. Not sure what else I could do. You have pictures, you have a Wikipedia page. You either have the ability to parse a secondary school level explanation or you don’t. If you don’t, that’s on you.
But I don't see how any of that has anything to do with this article or this thread. So I still don't know what you are trying to say. You can assume my agenda and my lack of intelligence all day.
Still doesn't change the fact that I'm going to keep posting. Thanks, friend! :)
I don’t need to assume anything. You offer all the proof necessary with your pattern of behavior. Thanks, bud! Good luck with those resources I provided!
If I’m really such a troll, wouldn’t the best strategy be to stop engaging altogether? Every response just boosts the view count and engagement on my posts. If attention is supposedly what I crave, then ignoring me would be the quickest way to make me "go away," right?
Constant replies are actually feeding what you claim to hate, so maybe letting it fade into obscurity would be the logical move—if that’s really what you want.
And if my trolling is so obvious, then you don't have to worry about pointing it out, because as many have said, "every sees through" me. Right?
I mean, the only problem with that scenario is that I'm not a troll. And I have posted articles that are critical of Trump, Stein, and Harris, as well as articles praising each of them.
So the conflicting perspectives of stuff I post doesn't really fit you narrative, but meh, just some room for thought I guess.
It’s “food for thought” - are you sure you’re a native English speaker? You seem to have big problems with both idiom and reading comprehension.
Meh, stubby fingers, tiny phone screen. But I'll keep as is, cuz I like the idea of room for thought.
What language do you think I'm native in, if not English? Are you trying to imply something?
Come on, friend, you can say it out loud. Just say it...
Hmm, not sure how stubby fingers get “food” to “room” - especially as we know from your frequent misspellings and constant editing of your previous posts, you obviously disabled auto-correct.
And I didn’t imply anything, just asked a question as you seem to be constantly confused by common American English phrases - especially so for someone who is a native English speaker, and generally poor reading comprehension. “I don’t know what that means” is probably one of your five most common replies in comments.
Hey, friend. Now, let's stick to discussing the articles. Thank you!
Can’t tell if this is parody or an alt 😄
I don’t know what that means, friend. I'm just here to discuss the articles. Absolutely nothing Russian about me. I mean, just THINK of what that would even mean. I don't even have any rubles at all. Thank you!
I don't know what that means, friend. Thank you!
Yep!
