Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

So all the 1,000's of pro-harris that are on there, and the many that get posted daily, those are all "editorial" choices?! LMAO Riiiigggghhht....

If you don't like the articles I post, feel free to block me. If you believe any part of the article is inaccurate, I encourage you to reach out to the news organization that published it. If you think the article doesn't align with the community guidelines, feel free to contact the moderators. Thank you!

I think you should just be prepared to deal with this every time you post bullshit. No one is reaching out to editors for seeing an article on Lemmy. We're gonna go at the user who brought it here instead.

No one is reaching out to editors for seeing an article on Lemmy. We’re gonna go at the user who brought it here instead.

Exactly my point though. I KNOW you all just go after the user. Think about that for a second. Ever hear, "don't kill the messenger"?

I would prefer people refrain from personal attacks and stay civil. This is a political news community, and it's a political news article.

I didn't write it. So it's silly coming after me. I didn't make the news, I posted it. And unless you are all censoring different points of view, I'm not sure why you are so angry.

I'm not even voting for Stein. lmao

There are 1,000's of pro-harris articles. I promise you guys will be just fine if a few third party articles are dropped in here. It's not like an article can change the minds of a Lemmy user and make them suddenly stop supporting Harris.

You all need to calm down. lol Some of the comments I get are hilarious. You all act like I am bringing about the end of the world. Trump won't even win. So calm yourself.

I didn't write the news guys. It's already out there for the world to see. And no one in this small Lemmy community is suddenly gonna change their mind over a news article. You're not losing any Harris votes because I posted an article. :)

A messenger is sent by someone, and is generally unaware of the content of the message - that turn of phrase only makes sense in such a a context.

These outlets didn’t send you here, and you personally chose to post these because their content aligns with your views and goals. You are not “the messenger”.

[–] UniversalMonk@lemmy.world -3 points 2 months ago

you personally chose to post these

As do all the people who post the 100's of pro-Harris articles.

I didn't write the news. The articles are not hidden.

Do you think that Lemmy users are so weak that me posting a news article is going to change their minds and make them suddenly not vote for Harris?

Stay mad all you want. But this sub isn't a "OnlyPostProHarrisArticles" sub, nor is it only a "democrat news only" sub.

It's political news. What I posted is political news.

If you believe any part of the article is inaccurate, I encourage you to reach out to the news organization that published it. If you think the article doesn't align with the community guidelines, feel free to contact the moderators. Thank you!
