Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

Keep going! The writer's strike succeeded and I believe the UAW strike will too. It's a fucking crime that the rail workers didn't go on strike, Congress be damned.
And miss me with that "b.. but Biden came back and negotiated sick days for them!" Horseshit. He got them a pitiful FRACTION of the days they asked for, and didn't address any of their other demands whatsoever. Such as ending Precision Scheduled Railroading, which may have been a factor in the East Palestine disaster.
There's been a weird narrative going around even on Lemmy every time this is mentioned that somehow Biden was actually a genius in that and everyone won.
Yeah, the neoliberal horde is coming. They've already mostly taken over the very instance this community is on 🫤
