Aren't Americans supposed to have guns and stuff to fight against tyrannical governments. Some amendment or the other which grants them rights or some shit

To be fair, using those rights against cops is ineffective. They are meant for tyrants which are those in charge.

There seems to be growing evidence that armed protesters are treated better and taken more seriously by police. Whether it's a "good old boy" effect, the prospect of more paperwork and scrutiny, or just perceived threat, it may be a way forward.
