This is slightly over your $1000 budget including the metal bracelet (which you should definitely get because it's great and helps to dress it back up when necessary) but still cheaper than the Longines Spirit 37mm.

That is absolutely gorgeous, I had a problem with Christopher Ward watches for a while because of their plain text "Christopher Ward" on the dial but that logo is much nicer on the eyes. Love it, thanks a lot.
I still don't love their flag logo on a lot of their watches (but better than their previous logo), but for some reason it looks especially good on this watch, I guess because it matches the simple style of the printed numerals on a field watch.
Yeah something about this watch is definitely enamoring me lol, the case is so extremely sleek. Reminds me a bit of the Lorier Falcon. Shame I don't like the textured dial on the falcon.
Or the acrylic crystal on the Lorier that scratches if you look at it. I know some people are fine with crystal scratches or dealing with polywatch to buff them out, but that's a deal breaker for me.
