Hi, its my 3rd pc build so i'd like to see if there is some kink that I'm unaware of or something else that doesn't really fit.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fQrGFZ

I mainly used it for gaming in 1440 or maybe at 4k and it will be on linux.

thank you for your time

If your main use case is gaming then 128 GB of RAM is way overkill, 32 GB is fine.

ASRock has had some issues with 9800X3D chips so I would choose a different motherboard manufacturer.

I would personally go with a less expensive storage solution, such as this Crucial 4TB SSD or 2 of these 2 TB TeamGroup SSDs. You could go even cheaper with these drives from Silicon Power which are well reviewed on PCPartPicker. For a little more but still cheaper than your spec'd SSD, these SK Hynix drives are also pretty popular.

thank you for your input. 128 is indeed overkill, the only reason i go for it is just because..

do you have other motherboard manufacturer recommendations? im trying to build small pc thing

I would recommend either Gigabyte or MSI

Strong disagree with gigabyte. They screwed me and other over with horrible quality products in the past and didn't own up to the defects (like literal fire blasts). Be wary.

To be fair that's pretty much all the manufacturers. I've heard of issues with Gigabyte PSUs but I don't remember issues with their motherboards specifically. MSI has done shady marketing in the past, Asus is still fucked with their RMA processes. You don't have to dig very deep to find reasons to avoid all of them.

Fair. Sadly that's quite true. We need more EVGA and Club3D lol.
