Is there a way to join a yet unfederated community from my instance using Jerboa? (lemmy.cafe)

I can initiate it via a browser on a desktop as well as the mobile, but the app never returns the search results. Am I missing something?

It does work that way, I was hoping for some more direct way to initiate federation from within the app. Most users will be using it and not the browser, I imagine.

I hope they add that feature also. Lots of features are missing from the app. I can't edit my community sidebar, appoint mods, cross post, and many more actions from Jerboa yet. Hell, we can't even change the comment text size yet. I assume it will all come with time.

I did see font size in general settings. Haven't tried it, though. Would that work for you in the meantime?

Nah, that's the issue. It only changes the post view for now. Comments are unchanged. Thereis a fix already afaik, it just has to be merged into the codebase. It's not a big deal, these are just the early times and growing pains
