I'm a bit weird in that I don't really like day-date, with a notable exception: I like a vertical day-date at the 6 o'clock. I seem to remember seeing one or two other models but can't remember what they were, but my favourite vertical day-date is the Sinn 105 non-UTC:

That’s a really cool way to do day-date. ALMOST cool enough to make me buy a day-date (but not quite, I really hate feeling obligated to keep the date and day set correctly)
Yeah as I said normally I steer fully clear of anything with a day complication and I'm not at all fond of either the traditional 3 o'clock placement due to massive asymmetry, nor the Hamilton style of writing out the full word at 12 o'clock. But there's something about what Sinn has done here.i think it's the only one I'd consider.
(I also like the UTC model of the 105, which does not have a day complication).
