I really like the writing experience with the Remarkable but it has what are (for me) some fatal flaws:
- the handwriting to text feature is really impressive but having to do it manually every time is painful and even worse is that it does not respect any formatting, just mashing all my text together into one block
- the search is unusable - why can't I search for tags or text within a notebook?! I have notebooks tagged to a client name and I also take notes from a sales call which talks about all the clients - I can't search for "Client X" and find all mentions of them
- handwriting looks great on the tablet but from my PC at default resolution it looks dreadful - hard to read even
It's unfortunately - the hardware is fantastic but the implementation seems subpar to me :-(
- You go to the page overview, and over there you can sort by tags. also, you can search text in the notebook, just use the last option on the toolbar to find it
- you can zoom into the page on the PC app to have an Anti Aliased version
You can only search for converted text (and see issue #1 for why that doesn't work well)
And the zoom is not stored so you have to zoom every single time - strange UX decision...
