hard to see from this angle but was this bc he has 2 hands on AD?

To clarify though, simply having your hands on a player is not a foul unless the ref determines the contact to be more than "incidental." You have to effect their movement with that contact for it to be a foul, and that is 100% a judgement call made by the refs.

When people wonder why guys throw their arms around and act like they took a heavy hit, it's to sell that the contact they took had an actual effect on their movement.

The only contact that is supposed to be called no matter what is on the arm of a shooter during their shooting motion.

This is it. It's not just that the refereeing is always bad, it's that the rules are so vague and left to the referee's judgement that the referees make up the rules as they go
