I knew grabbing cheap games for my potato-computer would pay off one day! Got it off Facebook for $140

That's an amazing deal!

My steam deck's screen has sadly stopped working, I think it's because I used a wrong charger. The deck itself works fine, but only with an external screen.

Hard to imagine a "wrong charger" doing that unless it's a piece of unregulated cheap Chinese crap

It's the only thing I could think of. One day it was working fine, I hooked it up to a charger (grabbed the wrong wire, not the official one, but a 5v one), and the next day, the screen didn't turn on anymore, but the Deck itself still works, when I attach it to a screen.

You can send it to steam to get it repaired

I second this. My experience with Steam support for a broken Steam Deck (white OLED) was outstanding.

They sent me a full replacement, brand new, also white OLED (after you couldn't buy them anymore). I was amazed.

Steam is an amazing company. Probably the best company in terms of customer support in the U.S. many businesses could learn from them. There is hardly anyone who has a bad thing to say about them.

It's crazy how much goodwill a company can garner just by treating customers well.

Not a coincidence that Valve never went public.

Yes they also bring billions in taxes back into the U.S economy.
