Foreword: Yes, +/- is a team stat, and yes, it is too small a sample size to generalize.

So far, Christian Wood has been in the plus for EVERY game.

And in the last FOUR games, he has led his team in +/-

In some games by a LONG shot.

He is also the only Laker to not yet be in the negative for a game.

Wood, over his career, has been framed as a strong offensive player that is a liability on defence and whose offence creates chemistry issues with teammates.

This Lakers contract was a bargain basement deal meant to give him an opportunity to show the league and prospective GMs that he can make teams better and contribute.

So what do you think of his performance so far, and is he (so far at least) putting himself in a position to earn a much more respectable contract in the off season?

Christian Wood's positive +/- in the Lakers' first five games is impressive, especially considering his previous reputation as a defensive liability. It's too early to draw definitive conclusions, but it's a promising start for him in LA.
