Gobert gave his take on the incident, telling The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski and Sam Amick the following regarding Green: "It was a long time, and if he knew how to choke it could have been way worse. His intention was to take me out."

Draymond is insane but I don’t think he wanted to make gobert pass out or worse.

Punched his teammate Poole cuz he was jealous of poole contract, stomped on sabonis in a pivotal playoff game, kicked Steven adams in the nuts TWICE, swipe lebron on the nuts in a pivotal nba finals game, called his teammate KD a bitch and cost the warriors that game for not passing the ball, and a whole lot more.

This guy does everything with a purpose. It's well known he hated gobert for a while talking smack about him on national media and his podcast due to gobert getting a big contract and winning a few dpoy from him. This was fully intentional in my mind.
