Both young cores seem to be similar, with a lead superstar guard, a 2-way guard/forward, and a floor-spacing rim protector. The Grizzlies’ core have had more playoff success (due to being around longer) and JJJ also already has a DPOY, but they’ve also got more potential concerns (namely Ja’s off-court behavior and some of JJJ’s struggles like rebounding)

I’m tired of pretending the Memphis core isn’t overrated. Mainly because Ja is overrated. He’s 22/7 with 3 TOs per game and a bad shooter if he’s away from the rim. He’s not even on the same tier as SGA/THog/Fox.

Thunder easily.

He’s not though. He averages the same or less points, less assist, more turnovers, and he can’t shoot. He’s a career 32% 3 point shooter. That is awful. His entire game is predicated on getting to the rim which doesn’t work near as well in the playoffs. Stats don’t lie
