Protecting European and US car makers from Chinese competition just means surrendering the rest of the world market to them. This is just an early example. Most countries don't have an automotive industry and won't give two fucks about Chinese subsidies. They'll just be happy about the cheap cars. And it's not like Western countries don't pay subsidies. The Chinese are just better at making them count.
