My wife and I just got back from it. It's pretty good. His character might be right about being Marvel Jesus. They'd been taking a lot of Ls lately but this one was refreshing.

They kept us on a wave of "holy shit" moments with crests every 10 minutes.
It was, by far, the best Deadpool movie and they had the budget to go wild with cameos. I was shocked with the cameos, how the hell they got those actors to join the production can only be due to them needing money.
Jackman alone being a main character is wild, but they really got him a few times over in fantastic ways.
"Mabel Jesus" indeed, now it is up to the studio to regain what made them great movies. Deadpool can keep doing some serious box office damage if they let the production team keep going maximum effort.

There was one cameo in particular which blew me away. I am surprised they managed to keep it under wraps.
I’m really happy none of the cameos were spoiled for me. Really improved the experience realizing what was going on.
If it is a 4 quadrant film (only learnt of the term now) ... I'd imagine it's because of appeal Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have. They strike me as exactly the kind of actors that would have that kind of broad appeal. Putting them together even more so.
I was once surprised, about 10-15 years ago, to learn that my partner's mother, who was a non-white immigrant, fucking loved Bruce Willis. Told me with a serious face that he has never made a bad film and that she watches everything he does.
That kind of appeal happens, and it'd make sense to me that Jackman and Reynolds would have it.

Bet she's changed her mind now.
So a four quadrant film isn't an X-Men movie
A four-quadrant film is one that appeals to all four major demographic groups in a movie-going audience:
- Males under 25
- Females under 25
- Males over 25
- Females over 25
What if you're 25
