So their assertion that side-fumbling being effectively eliminated turns out to be false. Do you think it could have been mitigated by using reverse polarity to the retro turboencabulator?

OT is a security dumpster fire, which is why a lot of these devices live on segregated networks with hardware enforced one-way communication at Purdue layer 3.5.
