edit: Like this issue on Github (where Lemmy devs live) to get it fixed. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3042

I posted a good asklemmy thread and many people responded, trouble is I can't reply to all of them, there were some 400 comments, I am so irritated at receiving unnecessary notification I can't tell the difference between a reply to my comment that I ought to see or just a post comment which doesn't need me to reply. I saw the settings there are no options which will help me with this.

Me after receiving 400+ comments on my post

although i dont like to post alot, i struggled when i posted a couple of memes and the phone wouldn't stay silent for the next 5 hours, causing me to mute the app notifications instead. I posted a request of this feature for my app dev, and hopefully that would be took into consideration. Lemmy devs seem to be busy with under the hood features and fixes but i dont know better. third party app devs should alleviate the load from Lemmy devs by working out those features instead, until it gets adopted on Lemmy web.The fediverse seem to work on love and coffee..and some donations probably

I think the issue could have been better described. But yeah, that's my issue. How legal would it be to copy some code from reddit's old repo and put in some much needed features here (especially with notifications)
