What safeguards? Biden's order was just that they had to report what they were doing. He didn't restrict anything.

What the AI market is really going to feel is if Trump's proposed tariffs affect the prices of all those chips they need to feed their models.

So he wants to make sure AI can continue to be used for all the nefarious hateful purposes his cult members require, but at the same time wants to create tarrifs on imports that will make it difficult if not impossible to do so... Sounds about right for him

Of course he does. Don't you guys remember 2016-2020? When presented with any possible choice, the trump administration will always choose the most damaging one possible. Just accept it. Get used to it. Or you're going to go crazy.
