I despise floppers
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Reminds me of when Luka tried to flop mid air and almost broke his back by falling on it
Yes
I'm very anti-flopping but I don't think you can get called for flopping with the ball in your hands. But when a defender flops trying to draw a charge, throw them out of the game and fine them $1 million. That needs to stop.
Why can't you get called for flopping with the ball in your hands?
"Flailing" is one of the biggest problems in the NBA, and Reaves is one of, if not the biggest, perpetrators in the league. Ever watch a laker game last season? Reaves flails at least 3-4 times a game, in an attempt to draw fouls. Sad thing is, he usually gets the calls. Whenever he has the ball in his hands, especially with the intention of creating his own shot, he usually flails his body and/or purposely runs into the defender in an unorthodox manner in order to get the whistles. That's part of the reason why he's averaging so many free throws a game.
This is a problem that the NBA needs to alleviate immediately, and definitely calls for a technical foul. I wish they'd actually start suspending repeat offenders for this. It's ruining the league.
Get this garbage outta here! Ruining the game. Steph did this last night against the Kings but he ended up banking in the 3 anyways lol
Absolutely should be a flopping penalty. If the league wants to stop flopping then they should actually enforce the anti flopping rules.
This karate kick jump shot shit needs to be punished.
Seems like he was just expecting contact and trying to hit the shot.
TBH I think you could also excuse this as trying too hard to create extra space for his shot and just losing balance. He’s got his own come-uppance bc he threw off his own shot, so I reckon it’s fine, aside from possibly the leg kick which is just over the top… but he didn’t connect on that, so it’s hard to call it a foul…
This looks like attempted assault, he was trying to kick Grayson Allen in the face. :P
Can’t wait for this to be a top post because of all the hate.
Be prepared for the real life action drama that is “Lebron James and the Lakers” as they attempt to reenact a real NBA Team this season. All flops are real, no actors were hurt in the filming of this real life reenactment.
Think he just lost his balance. You can say a lot of things about Austin Reaves but he is not a flopper by any means.
Yes, obviously.
somebody should check the arena for snipers, somebody shot this dude midair!
yes
Eh…call me biased if you want. But it started with him trying to square up in mid-air. Which is extremely difficult to do. I’m gonna look like a homer but the absolute GOAT at that move was Kobe. To me this looks like Reaves testing shit out and failing lol.
I forget the nuances of the anti-flopping rule but I don't hate the no-call here - he takes himself out of the play and gives the Sun the advantage on the fast break.
What the hell are you couch potatoes lookin at? You've never done any sport?? Jezus Christ! This was obvious spontanious mid-air momentum kick to get some balance and to contract abdominal muscles to get as much power possible for the throw.
I feel like a flopping call prerequires either clear non-foul contact or the player to jump up and start whining at the ref
Don’t think that kind of fadeaway is in his toolkit.
He learned from the best, LeFlop.
I really hate this flopper but I cant deny that he has talent.
You can almost hear him yelling "I'm him"
Between reaves, AD screaming every time someone breathes on him, and dlo snapping his head back every time he curls a screen, I find myself forced to root for the Suns.
Who is Austin Reaves - the shooter? Doesn't seem that unusual - fell over shooting from an off-balance position. He didn't intentionally fall over - he couldn't have taken that shot and stayed on his feet, and would have been blocked if he tried to shoot any other way.
Everybody needs to start playing the way they would if they were at the local outdoor courts. No one’s calling shit. There is no ref. You’re not looking for fouls. You’re grinding for the bucket.
That’s when the best ball is played, that’s when people are truly hoopin.
Guys what are you saying AR15 is all of ours favorite player why can't you see most hated player of all time Grayson Allen clearly pushes him on his hip and makes him have to flail so spastically
Trying to draw a foul during a preseason game is just embarrassing
i hope his reputation as a flopper really costs him some of the whistles he gets this season. it is ridiculous.
Shame on him
This really is the pussiest sport in existence, isn’t it?
Someone should review the video for a sniper.
my mvp dont care about the haters!!
Nah, this is Lakers basketball - totally fine...
I’ve seen people have brain spasms, but never a full body spasm like this. Hope he got some medic attention 🤣
Absolutely
Absolutely. Not only because of it being a flop, but to encourage morons from accidentally hurting themselves by landing awkardly after such an attempt.
this looks like how chase claypool tries to catch footballs
His only redemption from this play was not staring at the ref with his hands in the air crying about the non-call. If refs don’t punish the behavior there is no incentive to stop
He’s lucky. If his foot hit that player’s face he would’ve been ejected.
Lakers hate already in mid season form lessgoo
